Judith McClure graduated with an Honors Degree in Biology from Trent University in Ontario, Canada. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1995 from the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada. She started her veterinary career in Chicago and spent much of her time working as an emergency veterinarian at a 24 hour critical care facility on the north shore of Chicago. She also enjoyed part time general practice relief work and feline house call practice. She moved to San Diego in 2004 and continued to work as an emergency veterinarian. When she was not doing emergency work she enjoyed contract surgery work for the San Diego Humane Society in addition to relief general practice. She hopes that Sandy Paws Animal Clinic will allow her to foster longterm relationships with clients and their animal family members by providing advanced and affordable wellness care for a lifetime and emergency care when necessary.
Dona BrueningLicensed Registered Veterinary Technician
Dona graduated San Diego Mesa College in May 2010 with an Associates Degree in Animal Health Technology. After completing the program, she sat for her boards and became a Registered Veterinary Technician. Dona has been part of the Sandy Paws team since we opened our doors July 2010. She loves working with both dogs and cats. She has had multiple cats throughout her life. She enjoys spending time road tripping with her husband, Antonni, and her son, Jeremiah, while enjoying the great outdoors in their Jeep.
Joan moved to California from New Jersey in October 2016. She previously worked a 24hr emergency facility where there was over 60 veterinarian on staff. During her free time, she explores sunny California with her daughter Jill.
Sergio CamarenaUnlicensed Registered Veterinary Technician
Sergio graduated from Pima Medical Institute with an Associates Degree of Animal Science in September 2017 and started working at Sandy Paws shortly after. He loves all different kinds of dogs especially his own little sidekick named Chappie. He also has a passion for arts and animation.
Hilarie MoralesLicensed Registered Veterinary Technician
Hilarie has been a member of the Sandy Paws Team since December 2016. She started as a Veterinary Assistant then she completed the Veterinary Technician Associate Degree program through Penn Foster Fall of 2018. She passed the national board exam in Dec 2018 and became licensed in May 2019. Hilarie is a busy mom of 3 beautiful girls and enjoys her free time with them at the pool.
Becca KoryckiVeterinary Assistant
Becca attended Pima Medical Institute and completed the Veterinary Assistant course in November 2017. She started working at Sandy Paws Animal Clinic in March 2018. She enjoys spending her time off going on adventures with her lovebug Haley.
